Press Release - Mads Aarvik Joins Seafood People’s Strategy Consulting Team

Bergen, Norway: 03 February 2025

Seafood People is pleased to announce the appointment of Mads Aarvik in the role of Manager - Strategy and Growth. Mads joins the team from PwC, where he worked as a consultant on the strategy team, serving clients throughout the seafood value chain. He has a proven track record in the global seafood sector, with deep knowledge of both aquaculture and fisheries.

As part of PwC's seafood team, he played an important role in initiatives such as the PwC Seafood Barometer and on strategic efforts, including corporate strategy and business development. Mads brings broad international experience and valuable insights from living in Norway, Spain, Germany, and the UK.   

Coming from a family company in the Norwegian fisheries and wild-catch sector, Mads has a strong foundation and firsthand experience in the industry. He currently serves as the leader of YoungFish, a young professionals network dedicated to uniting and inspiring the next generation of seafood industry leaders.

His educational background includes a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management from Copenhagen Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Exeter.
